To make the purée, peel the pear and remove the core. Put in a blender with a dash of white wine and blend until smooth. Add equal proportions of pear purée and cranberry juice to a champagne flute. Add a dash of pear schnapps and top up with champagne. Stir. Garnish with a slice of pear and a few cranberries on a stem.

If you want to make this in a punch bowl, add small wedges of pineapple without its skin, and slices of lime, orange, and lemon. Add a few sprigs of mint on top of the bowl.
