P.S. I Love You

  • 2cl dark rum
  • 2cl Irish Cream liqueur
  • 2cl amaretto
  • 2cl coffee liqueur
  • 5cl double cream
  • 5cl milk

Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into a highball filled with ice. Serve with a straw. Garnish with a Cape Gooseberry. Sip.

Painkiller

  • 6cl white rum
  • 12cl pineapple juice
  • 3cl fresh orange juice
  • 3cl coconut cream

Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into a highball filled with ice. Garnish with a wedge of pineapple and a maraschino cherry on a cocktail stick.

Palm Beach Cocktail

  • 6cl gin
  • 1.5cl sweet vermouth
  • 1.5cl fresh grapefruit juice

Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.

Pappy's Mango Cooler

  • 6cl rye whiskey
  • 1 peach, diced
  • dash peach schnapps
  • 2cl fresh lime juice
  • dash grenadine

Pour all ingredients into a blender. Blend. Add crushed ice. Blend for again. Pour into a goblet.

Paradise

  • 6cl gin
  • 1.5cl apricot brandy
  • 1.5cl fresh orange juice

Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a twist of orange.

Paradise Punch

  • 3cl Southern Comfort
  • 2cl vodka
  • 1.5cl amaretto
  • 5cl fresh orange juice
  • 5cl pineapple juice
  • 2cl Roses's lime cordial
  • 2 dashes grenadine

Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into a highball filled with ice. Garnish with a slice of lime and a maraschino cherry.

Parisian

  • 1.5cl Grand Marnier
  • 1.5cl kirsch
  • 1.5cl cognac
  • 1.5cl green Chartreuse

Pour each ingredient, in the order listed, over the back of a barspoon into a shot glass.

Parisiana Punch

Serves 11

  • 30cl madeira
  • 12cl cognac
  • 100g caster sugar
  • 2 lemons, cut in half
  • 1 bottle champagne

Pour all ingredients, except champagne, into a large pitcher and stir until the sugar dissolves. Place in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours. When guests arrive, fill with champagne. Serve in wine glasses.

Passionfruit Batida

  • 5cl cachaça
  • 3cl passionfruit purée
  • 1cl gomme syrup

Pour ingredients into an old-fashioned glass over crushed ice. Stir. Garnish with a wedge of lime. Serve with two straws.

Passionate Bourbon

  • 6cl bourbon
  • 3cl lychee juice
  • 3cl passionfruit juice
  • 2cl apple schnapps
  • ginger ale

Pour all ingredients, except ginger ale, into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into a highball filled with ice. Top up with ginger ale. Stir. Garnish with a wedge of apple. Serve with a straw.

Passion Tsuzis

  • 5cl pear sake
  • 2cl Poire William
  • 1.5cl fresh lemon juice
  • 1.5cl passionfruit syrup

Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into a cocktail glass.

Passover

  • 3cl vodka
  • 5cl Passóa
  • 15cl fresh grapefruit juice

Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into a highball filled with ice. Garnish with a slice of orange in the glass.

Patriot Punch

Serves 20

  • 1 bottle cognac
  • 4 oranges, sliced
  • 1 pineapple, sliced
  • 1 bottle champagne

Place the orange and pineapple slices in a punch bowl. Pour the cognac over them. Let them steep for a couple of hours. Add the champagne, stir, and serve immediately in wine glasses.

According to The Professor, you must add "ice direct from the Rocky Mountains ."

Pavlova Supreme

  • 5cl vodka
  • 1cl crème de framboise (raspberry liqueur)

Pour vodka into a shot glass. Float the raspberry liqueur over the top.

Peach Crush

  • 6cl rye whiskey
  • 1 peach, diced
  • dash peach schnapps
  • 2cl fresh lime juice
  • dash grenadine

Pour all ingredients into a blender. Blend. Add crushed ice. Blend again. Pour into a goblet.

Pearl Harbor

  • 4cl vodka
  • 2cl melon liqueur
  • 3cl pineapple juice

Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into a cocktail glass.

Perfect Lady

  • 6cl gin
  • 1.5cl peach schnapps
  • 1.5cl fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon eggwhite powder

Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into a cocktail glass.

Perini

  • 2cl cranberry juice
  • 2cl fresh pear purée
  • 1cl pear schnapps
  • dash white wine
  • dash champagne

To make the purée, peel the pear and remove the core. Put in a blender with a dash of white wine and blend until smooth. Add equal proportions of pear purée and cranberry juice to a champagne flute. Add a dash of pear schnapps and top up with champagne. Stir. Garnish with a slice of pear and a few cranberries on a stem.

Peta's Passion

  • 5cl tequila
  • 7cl apple juice
  • 3cl fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon caster sugar
  • 5cl passionfruit juice

Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into the highball filled with crushed ice. Scoop out the pulp of the passion fruit and lay it on top of the drink: it gives it a piquant aroma. Serve with a stirrer.

Petake Cocktail

  • 6cl golden rum
  • 3cl Cointreau
  • dash Van der Hum
  • dash pineapple juice
  • dash papaya juice
  • dash fresh lime juice

Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into a double cocktail glass. Garnish with a Cape Gooseberry on the rim.

Peyton's Place

  • 3cl Plymouth gin
  • 3cl sloe gin
  • 6cl fresh grapefruit juice
  • soda water

Pour all ingredients, except soda, into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into a highball filled with ice. Top up with soda. Garnish with a wedge of lime.

Pimm's No. 1 Cup

  • To make in bulk, multiply the ingredients by the number of guests.
  • 5cl Pimm's No. 1 Cup
  • lemonade or ginger ale
  • few slices lemon
  • few slices orange
  • few strips cucumber peel
  • sprig fresh mint

Pour the Pimm's into a highball filled with ice. Top up with 7Up or ginger ale. Add the fruit and stir. Garnish with a slice of lemon and orange, the peel of a cucumber, and a sprig of fresh mint in the glass. Serve with a straw.

Pimm's Royale

  • 5cl Pimm's No.1 Cup
  • champagne
  • slices lemon and orange
  • cucumber peel
  • sprig fresh mint

Pour the Pimm's into a highball filled with ice. Top up with champagne. Stir. Garnish with the orange and lemon slices, cucumber peel, and the mint dropped in the drink. Do not use too much fruit because it will detract from the taste of the Pimm's and the champagne.

Piña Colada

  • 5cl white rum
  • 10cl pineapple juice
  • 5cl coconut cream
  • crushed ice

Pour the pineapple juice into the blender. Add the coconut cream and the rum. Blend. Add the crushed ice and blend. Pour into a colada glass. Garnish with a wedge of pineapple and a maraschino cherry. Serve with a straw.

Pineapple Julep

  • 6cl bourbon
  • 3cl pineapple juice
  • few sprigs fresh mint
  • 1cl maraschino liqueur

Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into an old-fashioned glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a sprig of mint. Serve with a straw.

Pink Caddy

  • 3cl gold tequila
  • 2cl Grand Marnier
  • 3cl cranberry juice
  • 2cl fresh lime juice

Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into a cocktail glass.

Pink Forest

  • 3cl gin
  • 3cl crème de fraises (strawberry liqueur)
  • 2cl Cointreau
  • 2cl double cream

Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into a cocktail glass.

Pink Gin

  • Always serve it ice cold.
  • 5cl gin
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters

Pour the gin and bitters into a mixing glass with ice. Stir with a barspoon. Strain into a cocktail glass.

Pink Lady

  • 5cl Plymouth gin
  • 2cl fresh lemon juice
  • 1 to 2 dashes grenadine
  • 1 teaspoon eggwhite powder

Pour all the ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry dropped in the drink.

Pink Pussy

  • 6cl Campari
  • 3cl peach brandy
  • bitter lemon

Pour the first two ingredients into a shaker filled with ice. Shake. Strain into a highball filled with ice. Top up with bitter lemon. Stir.

Pisco Sour

  • 5cl pisco
  • 2cl fresh lime juice
  • dash eggwhite powder
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • dash gomme syrup

Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a wedge of lime.

Planter's Punch

Planter's Punch No. 2

  • 2cl Myers's dark rum
  • 1cl white rum
  • 1cl Cointreau
  • 5cl pineapple juice
  • 5cl fresh orange juice
  • 1cl fresh lime juice
  • 2 dashes grenadine

Pour all ingredients, except the dark rum, into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into a highball with ice. Carefully float the dark rum on top. Garnish with a slice of orange and a maraschino cherry. Serve with a straw.

If you want to make this in a punch bowl, add small wedges of pineapple without its skin, and slices of lime, orange, and lemon. Add a few sprigs of mint on top of the bowl.

Playmate

  • 2cl apricot brandy
  • 2cl brandy
  • 2cl Grand Marnier
  • 2cl fresh orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon eggwhite powder
  • 4 dashes Angostura bitters

Pour all ingredients into a shaker filled with ice. Shake. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a twist of orange.

Pousse-Café

You can use any combination to make a pousse-café. This is the classic recipe.

  • 1cl grenadine
  • 1cl green crème de menthe
  • 1cl Galliano
  • 1cl kummel
  • 1cl brandy

Pour the grenadine into a shot glass as a base. Over the back of a barspoon, gently add the crème de menthe. Pause, add the Galliano the same way. Pause, add the kummel and, finally, the brandy. Serve carefully. If you move the glass quickly, you will upset the perfect dividing lines!

Polish Martini

  • 3cl Polish vodka
  • 3cl honey vodka
  • 3cl clear apple juice

Pour all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice and stir. Strain into a cocktail glass.

Prado

  • 3cl silver tequila
  • 2 teaspoons maraschino liqueur
  • 2cl fresh lime juice
  • 2 dashes grenadine
  • 1 teaspoon eggwhite powder

Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into an old-fashioned glass filled with ice. Garnish with a maraschino cherry and a wedge of lime.

Pure Fetish

  • 3cl vodka
  • 3cl peach schnapps
  • 6cl cranberry juice
  • 6cl fresh orange juice

Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into an old-fashioned glass filled with ice. Garnish with a wedge of lime.

Purple Emperor

  • A powerful cocktail with a slightly bitter flavor and a hint of citrus to balance the drink.
  • 6cl bourbon
  • 6cl cranberry juice
  • 1.5cl fresh lime juice
  • 1 to 2 dashes Angostura bitters

Pour all ingredients, except champagne, into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into a cocktail glass. Float the champagne over the drink. Garnish with a few blueberries on a cocktail stick set across the glass.

Pussycat

  • 5cl bourbon
  • 3cl fresh lime juice
  • 6cl fresh orange juice
  • 1cl grenadine
  • 2cl gomme syrup

Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into an old-fashioned glass filled with ice.
