- 3cl Fernet Branca
- 3cl triple sec/Cointreau
- 3cl brandy
- champagne
Place one ice cube in a white wine glass. Add all ingredients, except champagne. Stir. Top up with champagne. Stir. Add a twist of lemon.
Ignorance Is Bliss
- 3cl Campari
- 3cl vodka
- 2cl passionfruit syrup
- 2cl apple juice
Pour all the ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into a cocktail glass. Squeeze a wedge of lime over the drink and drop it in.
Imagination
- 4cl vodka
- 4cl clear apple juice
- 1 passionfruit
- ginger ale
Halve the passion fruit and scoop out the pulp and pips into a shaker with crushed ice. Add the vodka and apple juice. Shake. Pour into a highball filled with ice. Top up with ginger ale. Stir. Serve with a straw.
Incognito
- 3cl brandy
- 6cl Lillet
- 1cl apricot brandy
- dash Angostura bitters
Pour all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice. Stir. Strain into a cocktail glass.
International Cocktail
- 6cl bourbon
- 3cl dry sherry
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
Pour all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice. Stir well. Strain into an old-fashioned glass filled with ice. Garnish with a twist of orange.
Intimate
- 3cl vodka
- 3cl extra dry vermouth
- 3cl apricot brandy
- 4 dashes orange bitters
Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a lemon twist and an olive on a cocktail stick.
Irish Beauty
- 4cl cognac
- 2cl Irish Mist
Pour all ingredients into a brandy balloon. Swirl to mix.
Irish Coffee
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 5cl Irish whisky
- 10cl hot coffee
- 2cl whipped cream
Pour the whiskey into a heatproof, large goblet. Add the brown sugar and stir. Add the hot coffee and stir with a teaspoon. Gently float the whipped cream over a barspoon to create a final layer. Do not stir. Serve while hot.
Irish Charlie
- 3cl Irish cream liqueur
- 3cl white crème de menthe
Pour both ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into a shot glass.
Irish Flag
- 2cl green crème de menthe
- 2cl Irish cream liqueur
- 2cl Grand Marnier
Pour each ingredient, in the order listed, over the back of a barspoon into a shot glass.
Irish Forty-Nine Coffee
- 3cl Irish cream liqueur
- 3cl Drambuie
- hot coffee
- whipped cream
Place a barspoon in a heatproof wine glass. Add the Irish cream and Drambuie, then fill with coffee. Stir. Float the cream over the top. Garnish with three coffee beans.
Italian Coffee
- 3cl amaretto
- 2cl coffee liqueur
- hot coffee
- whipped cream
Place a barspoon in heatproof toddy glass. Add the amaretto and coffee liqueur. Fill with coffee. Stir. Float the cream over the top. Garnish with three coffee beans.
Italian Punch
Serves 6
- 1 bottle dry white wine
- 5cl fresh lemon juice
- 10cl Campari
- 10cl Aperol
- 1 litre soda water
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
Pour all ingredients, except soda, into a punch bowl. Add ice, and then the soda. Add the orange and lemon slices to the bowl. Serve in wine goblets.
Italian Stallion
- 5cl amaretto
- 2cl white crème de cacao
- 2cl crème de noyeau
- 3cl double cream
Pour all ingredients into shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into an old-fashioned glass filled with ice.
Italian Surfer
- 3cl vodka
- 1.5cl amaretto
- 1.5cl coconut rum liqueur
- 2cl pineapple juice
- 2cl cranberry juice
Prepare the cocktail glass by rubbing a wedge of orange around the rim. Dip it into a saucer of shredded coconut.
Pour all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into the cocktail glass.
